Accel Protection and Technologies employs an inhouse security and firearms instructor certified by the Louisiana State Board of Private Examiners. This allows Accel to train all security personnel prior to assignment on security post.

 

Accel's certified instructor is also authorized by the state board to perform security officer training for non-employee security personnel. OVERVIEW

The Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners requires all employees hired for the position of security officer to complete two (2) eight hour classes followed by written examinations.  The first eight hour class was created by the Louisiana State Board and cannot be altered.  The second eight hour class was created by Accel instructors and approved by the state board prior to being utilized. 

Officers designated to work on armed posts must complete an additional eight hours of firearms training consisting of classroom instruction, a written examination and live fire qualification on the firing range.

  • Justifiable lethal force / Legitimate self defense

  • Use of  cover

  • Practice range  time - Practice consists of 60 rounds

  • Final qualification - Consist of 50 rounds Minimum of 80% or 200 out of 250 required to qualify
