History

Accel Protection and Technologies is a family of companies proudly securing assets for the past 20 years.

  • January 2003 - Craig Noel now Accel’s Senior Vice-President, approached entrepreneur, Thomas Huval with a business concept tailored toward providing commercial clients with a full-service security source which could be a single point of contact for all of that client’s security needs. Mr. Huval was interested in the concept; as he had previously acquired the Security Guard Division of Argus Security, LLC in 2002 (a corporation founded by Noel in 1995).

  • March of 2003 - With a full-service concept in mind, Mr. Huval further expanded his operations by acquiring the Commercial Division of Argus. This division itself had been built on an accumulation of numerous security and life-safety companies dating back for more than 20 years.

  • November 2003 – Acquisition of All Points Security, LLC, a well-established commercial-based alarm company.

  • October 2004 - All companies were then rolled under a single brand identified today as Accel Protection and Technologies.

  • August 2005 – Accel activated Elite Team to protect critical infrastructure throughout Gulf Coast in response to security needs resulting from Hurricane Katrina’s devastation of New Orleans, La.

  • September 2005 – Accel deployed over 300 security officers in reaction to security needs within temporary housing communities in South Louisiana.

  • April 2006 – Accel was awarded the contract to secure the Road Home Program, the single largest housing recovery effort in U.S. history. Accel provided vulnerability assessments, electronic security solutions and protective force officers throughout the Gulf Coast for this program.

  • January 2007 – Accel enters into partnership agreement with NetTalon and is authorized to provide Virtual Command Technology to the commercial, industrial and educational communities.
