Protection Systems Division

Current Positions Available:  

Seeking security technicians. An electrical background, as well as a background in Commercial Systems Installation is welcomed.

Minimum eligibility requirements (entry level)

  • Learn basic electric & electronic circuitry. Such as tracing out and locating ground faults, open circuits & shorted circuits using an electronic mulitimeter on all the above listed systems so that operating functions can be returned back to normal conditions.

  • Learn how to read blue prints/cad drawings consisting of electronic devices in order to be installed according to local and state fire codes.

  • Pass a state required fire alarm and security test within the period of one year as per state guidelines in order to continue being employed in the alarm industry if trainee feels capable of passing said test prior to this date and fails to meet required score to obtain a valid technician license the additional test will be at the trainee’s expense.   

  • At times, work out of town, nights and start early depending on project requirements.

  • Applicant must have no felony convictions.

 

Advancement will be based on performance according reports from lead technicians on various projects.

Currently seeking qualified individuals for armed and unarmed security officer positions. Day, evening and night shifts available. See minimum eligibility requirements listed below.

Minimum eligibility requirements (entry level)

  • Own or have access to reliable transportation

  • 18 years of age for unarmed and 21 years of age for armed position

  • High school diploma or GED (or pass a written comprehension exam)

  • Valid drivers license

  • No criminal history

  • Clearance from local police department

  • Pass Louisiana State Police fingerprint check

  • Drug free

  • Ability to speak, read and write the English language

  • Ability to pass Louisiana State Board of Private Security examiners Security Officer training

A professional image enhances personal confidence and creates a positive public image. You will be expected to maintain good personal hygiene. Accel will provide you with class A uniforms, you will need to supply your own black belt, solid black shoes and socks or boots. The only uniform pieces that you may purchase from the company are bomber jackets.
